2016 - 2017
Our 10 week sessions consist of 1/2 hour direct instruction and 1/2 hour monitored practice time. Membership to Learn to Skate USA, and a pass for FREE ADMISSION to a pre-designated Public Session, is included. Skaters are grouped by ability.
The Pavilion follows the Learn to Skate USA curriculum. Learn to Skate USA provides a fun and positive experience that will spark and sustain a lifelong love of skating. The curriculum offers every participant a rewarding experience rooted in the lifelong benefits of ice skating, beginning with the first steps on the ice to the mastery of advanced skills.
Our goal is to give your skater a solid foundation in the fundamentals of ice skating which are essential to playing hockey. They will gain a strong working knowledge of all edges, stops and turns before they are promoted to our higher level programs. To become this proficient, it will take your skater on average all four sessions of the Learn to Skate program. Please be aware it can take longer depending on each skater’s progress.
