USA Hockey Learn to Skate Program

2015 - 2016 




The focus and goal of the Learn to Skate curriculum is to teach beginner hockey players the fundamentals of skating. Our curriculum is broken down into two levels L2S 1 & L2S 2.

Our 10 week sessions will consist  of one hour of direct instruction.

Each  practice consists of 6 different drills working on fundamental hockey skating skills.

This program is for children age 5 and older.

Each skater will move up level by level while learning & having fun. Skill development will begin with basic skating and progress to ice hockey fundamentals.


Session 4: 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, 5/24, 5/31, 6/7, 6/14, 6/21, 6/28



Session 4: 4/30, 5/7, 5/14, 5/21, 6/4, 6/11, 6/18, 6/25

**only an 8 class session**


Tuesdays Session 4 (10 classes) - $250

Saturdays Session 4 (8 classes) - $200

Important Information

¨ On the first day of a session, arrive at least 20 minutes prior to class to check-in 

¨ Class assignments are subject to change as per the Director.

¨ Helmets and gloves are mandatory for all levels. All skaters must have hockey helemts.  WE DO NOT PROVIDE HELMETS.  Clothing should be warm and comfortable.  We suggest snow pants or snow suits for little ones at L2S 1 level. All skaters in L2S 2 level require full hockey equipment.

¨ Skates must be tied properly.  All hooks and holes should be used with laces pulled snug. 

¨ In the event of a serious snow storm, the school may be closed.  An alert message will be placed on the home page of our website:  www.thepavilion.org

¨ Registered students CANNOT bring others on to the ice during skate school hours.  FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN ELIMINATION OF THE REGISTERED STUDENT FROM THE  PROGRAM.

¨ The Pavilion maintains a NO REFUND policy and DOES NOT PROVIDE MAKE UP CLASSES.
