ELITE TRAINING & BRIDGE PROGRAM

FOR COMPETITIVE SKATERS, WORKING ON ADVANCED USFSAs TESTS.

ELITE: Must have passed preliminary moves in the field test (2nd test) to qualify.
BRIDGE: Must have successfully completed skate school & have been invited by the skating director. 

 

Mondays  4:30 PM -5:10 PM  

Bridge: Moves and Jumps
This class will focus on the POWER, EXTENSION, and EDGE QUALITY needed to pass the first two USFS moves in the field tests with ease, as well devote half of the lesson to jump techique.

Elite: Footwork and Jumps
Grouped by ability, skaters will rotate amongst our training staff for 20 minutes of jump technique and 20 minutes of moves in the field inspired footwork drills.

Bridge: Moves and Spins
Skaters will rotate biweekly for 30 minutes of either MOVES IN THE FIELD TEST PATTERNS or SPIN TECHNIQUE.

Elite: Creative Movement and Spin
Grouped by ability, skaters will rotate biweekly between our training staff for 30 minutes of either SPIN TECHNIQUE or CREATIVE MOVEMENT TRAINING.

Taught by Michelle Caputo, graduate of Fiorello H. La Guardia High School of the Performing Arts, she continues now to dance at a professional level. Her extensive background in dance had led her to being named a New York Knicks City Dancer. After her second season, she was named team MVP and was later named team Captain. While dancing for the Knicks, Michelle was also a member of the New York Liberty Torch Patrol. During her second season, she performed as team Captain and was also the team's Coach and Choreographer. Michelle has also been a featured artist at Broadway Dance Center on multiple occasions. She has won numerous awards competing at a national level, and has been chosen by Body Wrappers Dance wear to model in their catalogue. Her talents have taken her around the globe for guest appearances and she has appeared in many television commercials.  She is a true performer in every sense of the word and has endless knowledge in all areas of dance.
